Suunto MC-2G militair kompas. Normaal is het al niet leuk, maar bij militair gebruik kun je je helemaal geen fouten veroorloven. En dan is dit Suuto militair kompas, dat je overigens ook op het zuidelijk halfrond kunt gebruiken, een uitkomst.
Het is soldier-proof, simpel gezegd: dit kompas is robuust, zeer nauwkeurig, doodeenvoudig in gebruik en het kan zich automatisch aanpassen voor declinatie. Er is dus geen hogere wiskunde nodig om je zorgen over te maken wanneer je met je kaart en kompas werkt, zodat je je kunt concentreren op je missiedoelstellingen.
De kompasroos is gemarkeerd in MILS, de lichtgevende inkeping in tweekleurige roos is gemakkelijk te gebruiken met handschoenen aan. Rubberen voetjes zorgen ervoor dat je kompas niet verschuift.
Het opklapbare deksel is gemaakt van sterk ABS-plastic, dat je kompas veilig beschermt tegen beschadiging als gevolg van andere uitrusting die je draagt.
Werkt bij temperaturen van -30C in Porsanger, Noorwegen tot + 40C in Helmand, Afghanistan!
De spiegel is groot en gecoat met een anti-condens middel tegen beslaan.
Het heeft een afneembare snap-lock in het halskoord, waardoor het gemakkelijk los te koppelen is wanneer je aan een kaartentafel werkt.
